Oct：Launched the Tuberculosis Recoveree Colony Preparatory Assembly – the basis for the establishment of TENRYU-KOHSEIKAI
1950
May 1：Established TENRYU-KOHSEIKAI as a voluntary organization for support after tuberculosis
Jun 14：Appointed Yoshio Shishido as the first Board Chair
Sep 8：Received permission to establish the Incorporated Foundation TENRYU-KOHSEIKAI
Dec 25：Appointed Takezo Uchiyama as the second Board Chair

Jun 1：Opened the Kosei Ryo care home
