1940 to 1959

1946

Oct:Launched the Tuberculosis Recoveree Colony Preparatory Assembly – the basis for the establishment of TENRYU-KOHSEIKAI

1950

May 1:Established TENRYU-KOHSEIKAI as a voluntary organization for support after tuberculosis
Jun 14:Appointed Yoshio Shishido as the first Board Chair
Sep 8:Received permission to establish the Incorporated Foundation TENRYU-KOHSEIKAI
Dec 25:Appointed Takezo Uchiyama as the second Board Chair

1951

Jun 1:Opened the Kosei Ryo care home

1952

May 17:Received approval for a change in organization from an incorporated foundation to a social welfare corporation

1957

Dec 10:Opened a medical care clinic in Kosei Ryo

1960 to 1989

1961

May:Changed the management policy of Kosei Ryo from support after tuberculosis to support for persons with physical and mental disabilities

1962

Nov 1:Opened the Seifu Ryo aid station

1964

Jun 1:Opened the Dodoyama Ryo intensive-care home for the elderly

1965

Mar 10:Opened a new general office (Uchiyama Kaikan)
Nov 15:Appointed Shinichi Uchiyama as the third Board Chair

1966

Apr 1:Opened the Shiraito Ryo intensive-care home for the elderly

1969

Apr 1:Opened the Komatsu Nursery School

1970

Apr 1:Opened the Akaishi Gakuen facility for mentally-handicapped children
Apr 1:Opened Kibune Nursery School
Nov 1:Held the first facility joint work exhibition with the creation of the first manual Bathing Device for Patients with Impaired Motor Functions produced in Japan (Yamamura model)

1971

Apr 1:Opened Shibamoto Nursery School
May 1:Opened the Akaishi Ryo rehabilitation facility for mentally-handicapped persons
Nov 1:Published the first issue of the Akamatsu bulletin

1972

Apr 1:Opened Miyawaki Nursery School
Oct 1:Opened the Tenryu Fukushi Kojo welfare factory for persons with physical disabilities

1974

Nov 1:Started services on the Kashima scheduled bus route of Enshu Railway
Started full-scale water supply business (the water source facility at that time is now the first piece of equipment)

1975

Apr 1:Opened the Hamana Ryo support facility for persons with physical disabilities
Apr 1:Opened Shinpara Nursery School
Apr 1:Opened Johoku Nursery School

1976

Apr 1:Opened the Tenryu Work Campus vocational training facility for persons with severe physical disabilities
Apr 1:Opened Nakase Nursery School
Apr 1:Opened Nango Nursery School
Nov 7:Held the Joint Facility Parents’ Gathering fall festival (currently continuing as the Welfare Association Festival)

1977

Apr 1:Opened the Mihama Ryo rehabilitation facility for mentally-handicapped persons

Mar 31:Opened TENRYU-KOHSEIKAI Medical Care Clinic
Apr 1:Opened Suginoko Nursery School
Apr 1:Opened Nagisa Nursery School
Dec 12:Introduced a computer to improve the efficiency of paperwork in the Headquarters Office

1979

Apr 1:Opened Suishoen intensive-care home for the elderly
May 9:Visited by Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamatsu

Jul 6:Started welfare education

Apr 1:Opened the Hamakita Gakuen rehabilitation support facility for persons with severe physical disabilities

Sep 26:Opened TENRYU-KOHSEIKAI Dental Medical Care Clinic

Launched the Welfare Education and Research Fund with the support of the Toyota Foundation

1988

Apr 1:Opened Akamatsu Ryo rehabilitation facility for mentally-handicapped persons
Nov 6:Opened the Chamu coffee shop

Apr 1:Established the TENRYU-KOHSEIKAI Research Fund
Nov 25:Held the 1st Board Chair’s Cup children’s soccer tournament

Jun 6:Opened Saiwai rehabilitation facility for the elderly

1998

Jan 1:Opened the Minori vocational training facility for persons with intellectual disabilities

1999

May 6:Opened the Yasuragi comprehensive health, medical care and welfare facility in the village of Tatsuyama
Oct 1:Opened six care support centers in Tenryu, Kibune, Yamabiko, Saya-no-Ie, Shiraito and Tatsuyamamura

2000

Apr 1:Opened Yamabiko Children’s Club – the first after-school children’s club in TENRYU-KOHSEIKAI (later opened Futamata Children’s Club)
Apr 1:Opened the TENRYU-KOHSEIKAI Welfare Equipment Center welfare supplies lending and sales office
Apr 1:Opened Miyawaki-no-Ie
Aug 22:Appointed Haruo Kawai as the fifth Board Chair

2001

Feb 1:Opened TENRYU-KOHSEIKAI Hamamatsu Shirowa-no-Ie

2002

Mar 31:Formulated the basic principle and slogan

2003

Feb 1:Opened the Habataki group home for persons with intellectual disabilities (later opened Kodama, Tsubasa, Kamijima and Negata)
Feb 18:Acquired ISO9001 for the Childrearing Section and 11 nursery schools (later acquired ISO9001 for all sites on April 8, 2005)

Feb 23:Opened the Shinpara-no-Ie intensive-care home for the elderly

Apr 1:Opened Minamishima Nursery School

Sep 1:Opened the Toro-no-Ie intensive-care home for the elderly

Apr 1:Opened the Community Comprehensive Support Center Hamakita Hokubu under a commission from city of Hamamatsu
Apr 1:Opened Shizuoka City Suruga Ward Osato Takamatsu Community Comprehensive Support Center under a commission from the city of Shizuoka

Apr 1:Established Incorporated Educational Institution TENRYU-KOHSEIKAI
Apr 1:Opened Childrearing Center Hidamari
Jun 1:Opened TENRYU-KOHSEIKAI Itaya Town Nursing Care Home Visits Center

Apr 1:Started the designated management business of the Toyooka nursing care home for the elderly

Apr 1:Established Oyamano Nursery School – an in-office nursery school
Apr 1:Opened the TENRYU-KOHSEIKAI Daini Medical Care Clinic – a medical care clinic with beds

Aug 2:Appointed Tatsuko Yamamoto as the sixth Board Chair
Sept 7 Completed the TENRYU-KOHSEIKAI Memorial Museum

Apr 1:Relocated and rebuilt the Hamana support facility for persons with disabilities
Apr 1:Started the Ukedome communal life support and communal life nursing business (group home and care home)
Apr 1:Started the home healthcare cooperation base business
Apr 1:Started the Hokuen mental counselling support office
Aug 23:Held the Welfare Education 30th Anniversary Forum

Apr 1:Relocated and rebuilt the Kosei Ryo support facility for persons with disabilities

Apr 1:Introduced the Social Welfare Corporation and Incorporated Educational Institution TENRYU-KOHSEIKAI Career Path Program
Apr 1:Opened a support facility visit office as a satellite office of Seifu Ryo

Mar 31:Ended the home healthcare cooperation base business (later transitioned to the business of the city of Hamamatsu)
Apr 1:Started the Kizuna special counselling support business
Jul 1 Opened TENRYU-KOHSEIKAI Comprehensive Care Center

2015

Jan 1:Started self-declaration of conformity with ISO9001
May 1:Celebrated the 65th anniversary of the founding of TENRYU-KOHSEIKAI
Sep 16:Opened TENRYU-KOHSEIKAI Johoku-no-Ie intensive-care home for the elderly
Jointly established the TENRYU-KOHSEIKAI Charuka children’s development support office

Apr 1:Started the Residential Support Corporation for Persons Requiring Consideration with Housing under designation from the prefecture of Shizuoka
May 6:Relocated and rebuilt the Tenryu Work Campus multi-function office

2020

Apr 1:Started the Hamamatsu Hamakita and Tenryu Counselling Support Center for Persons with Disabilities
May 1:Celebrated the 70th anniversary of the founding of TENRYU-KOHSEIKAI
